Women's Health in Relationships - Embodied Wellness Radio | Episode 14

podcast Jun 05, 2021

Welcome back to another episode of Embodied Wellness Radio!  And today, we're flipping the script a bit.  Recently, Sarah had the amazing opportunity to be interviewed by someone who we HIGHLY look up to, Wade Lightheart, the President of BiOptimizers, author, and one of the worlds most renowned biohackers, not to mention 3X Canadian National Bodybuilding Champion.  We always talk about aspiring to sit at the table with the greats who we look up to, so we couldn't be more proud of this opportunity.

Today's podcast is also available on the Embodied Wellness YouTube, or on the BiOptimizers Instagram in the IGTV section.  Now the audio quality isn't the regular studio quality that what you're all accustomed too on our show, but we know you'll still enjoy the interview nonetheless.

You know the old saying, you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone?  Well if you've ever had your health wobble and slip,  you certainly know the feeling.  But I'll let you in on a little secret.  There's a mineral that our body needs, a mineral that an estimated 80% of people are deficient in, and without it, our body can be thrown out of whack REAL quickly.  That mineral is Magnesium.  In fact, magnesium deficiency can cause muscle aches, anxiety, poor digestion, and trouble sleeping, among other health issues. It's so important because it's involved in over 300 biochemical functions in the body, making it an essential part of our diet.

  1. Magnesium boosts energy right at the cellular level. It activates ATP in your body to create energy.
  2. Magnesium benefits digestion by relaxing the muscles in the digestive tract.
  3. Magnesium relieves muscle spasms
  4. Helps to relieve PMS symptoms
  5. Prevents migraines
  6. Prevents osteoporosis
  7. Supports brain health
  8. Supports bone health
  9. Supports heart health
  10. Magnesium helps to relieve anxiety!

& MORE!

A 2010 review of natural treatments for anxiety found that magnesium could be a treatment for anxiety.  More recently, a 2017 review that looked at 18 different studies found that magnesium DID reduce anxiety, making it the only nutrient that can reduce stress at a cellular level.

It doesn’t help that a magnesium deficiency is very hard to detect, and according to Dr. Joe Mercola, less than 1% of your body’s magnesium lives in your blood, which makes it tough to identify via blood tests.

Sarah and I get magnesium in some of our food sources such as Kefir, almonds, avocado and maybe some Bananas, but that's just not enough.  So we use the best magnesium supplement we've ever found, Magnesium Breakthrough by BiOptimizers.  Unlike other magnesium supplements that have 1, 2, or maaaaybe one other supplement that we've found that has 4 types of magnesium, Magnesium Breakthrough has all 7 forms of Magnesium.  And if that's news to you, there are many different types of magnesium — and each plays a critical role in different functions in your body.

Most “healthy” people only get 1-2 forms at best — but when you get all 7 major forms of magnesium, that’s when the magic happens.
